1. Zone Step
a. Over and up step–6 inches
b. Drive backside knee to the playside knee
c. Chest must be over the knee

2. 2-steps
a. 2nd step in the ground–this must occur before contact
b. Steps must be north and south
________________________________
3. 2-steps to fit
a. Emphacize 1st two steps
b. Contact on the bag must be the screws of the helmet
c. Followed by the hands
d. Hands must fire from the belt line
e. Thumbs up and elbows in

4. Drive Phase
a. Press and lift
b. Run feet with short, choppy, powerful steps
c. Emphasize gaining ground
* Points of emphasis on all base blocks are hat placement, hand placement, steps, and finishing blocks.
