Coach-Athlete Relationship
At your 2014 Flexbone Association Football Camp, we train your coaches to effectively coach your players through the universally accepted Flexbone Offense techniques. Using the drills delivered by the Flexbone Association will pave the way for your team to develop the neccessary skills and physical attributes to execute the Flexbone Offense with success. This will begin or enhance the coach-athlete bond that is vital to long-term success. Once this bond is forged in practice it will be tested and proven on game-day.
Coaching Values
You along with the Flexbone Association will play a pivotal role in the development of key mental toughness characteristics such as self-belief, personal values, work ethic, self-motivation, emotional and functional sport intelligence, and physical toughness in several important ways. Helping a developing player acquire an understanding of the Flexbone Offense, specific assignment focus, and the many obstacles, challenges, and pressures that one is likely to encounter in a game is considered an integral process in the development of mental toughness.
The Flexbone Association encourages players to understand that the more mindful they are of their assignment and technique, the better the outcome will be. Our mission is to develop players in acquiring an understanding of each pressure variable that would have originally created self-doubt. We focus on situational football to turn former self-doubt into current self-belief. When your players believe that you understand the entirety of the Flexbone Offense, you will build a bond of trust that no Friday night situation can break.
Training Environment
During the three-day camp, the Flexbone Association creates an environment continuously challenging players to see where they are currently at in terms of assignment and technique execution. This is done through various drills and tasks. We seek to help players develop the necessary skills to deal with various challenges that can occur in a competitive setting. This occurs through simulating competition scenarios during camp sessions so that players can develop the necessary skills to cope with pressure and anxiety during competition. Creating tough, adverse situations so that players gain experience with such adversity and can identify the best process(es) for dealing with and thriving in such conditions in the future is imperative to Flexbone execution.
Specific Strategies and Tactics
We match drills done in camp to the assignment they execute on gamenight. Players must know why they are doing certain drills and the implications of the drill for competitive performances during camp sessions. Your players are exposed to a variety of drills that replicate the experiences involved in competitive football (EX pressure simulations). Self-belief and a strong work ethic is advanced during the three-day camp which includes constantly correction errors in assignment and technique. Through constant correction and our fixated attention to detail, mistakes are opportunites from which to learn. Appropriate priorities are modeled for players to acquire specific mental skills associated with mental toughness (e.g. concentration/focus, handling pressure).
Positive Experiences and Influences
Our focus is to create a three-day training environment that will continuously challenge and expose players to various challenges, pressures, and adversities. We employ specific techniques that include specific Flexbone coaching behaviors and game awareness. At the conclusion of your camp, your players will acquire and increased knowledge of the Flexbone Offense, the skills needed to perform flawlessly, and an enhanced ability to cope with and perform under pressure.
