Indianapolis, Ind. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Football Team earned the top seed in Super Region II and will host an NCAA Division II Second Round Playoff game on Saturday, November 30, at Noon at Moretz Stadium.
L-R (10-1) will host the first-round winner of fourth-seeded Carson-Newman (9-2) and fifth-seeded Newberry (9-2), a pair of South Atlantic Conference schools. The Eagles and Wolves will square off next Saturday in Jefferson City, Tenn.
Lenoir-Rhyne, ranked No. 14 in NCAA Division II, defeated both Newberry (35-14) and Carson-Newman (37-3) at home this season on October 19 and November 2, respectively.
The Bears have won 10 straight games, their longest winning streak in 45 years, and earned a second straight berth to the postseason after a 50-year hiatus.
