The Navy Way
As told by Navy Assistant Football Coaches Ivin Jasper, Mick Yokitis, and Mike Judge
“No Excuses—Nobody Cares”
- The coaching staff is all in, all one, and all positive through the process.
- Players and coaches accept the triple option and discipline-based football as the way to win football games.
- The offensive philosophy is extremely straightforward, extremely insistent regarding effort, and the triple option is adjusted regarding what the current defense is doing during a game.
- The blueprint of success is to have the ball for more than 56 percent of the time, average 280 yards rushing/game, average two or fewer penalties/game, and average one or no turnovers/game.
- A brotherhood is developed where special bonds are created with the players and coaches, while pride regarding overall performance is a huge point of emphasis.
